Three Classic YouTube Viral Videos

A fairly new addition to the list of viral video "classics", this clip, while seemingly one dimensional and straightforward, is actually quite hilarious. Its simply the filmed rant of a red-haired (or "ginger") teenager (in what appears to his backyard) about his desire for ethical treatment of those labeled as gingers. While this may sound ridiculous, you have to see it all the way through to really appreciate it. This viral video provides a fairly unique take on the now hackneyed topic of "gingers", seeing as though the star of the clip would fall under this label himself. I think that this clip will remain relevant for quite some time seeing as though the term "ginger" (made especially popular by the television show "South Park") seems to have taken on a life of its own within society and the modern media.

2. Prison Michael Jackson

This viral video has earned over forty million views, and let me say that it is downright entertaining. It has exceptional wide-range appeal and was appropriate and impressive enough to garner attention from numerous major news organizations. This series of videos portray Filipino prisoners doing massive choreographed dance numbers to various Michael Jackson classics. While the "Thriller" video has earned the most views of the batch, there are a number of other productions that are just as worthy of your attention. This is truly impressive stuff and if you have not yet seen these guys in action, I urge you to give this viral video classic a look.

3. Unforgivable

I think it would only be appropriate to first mention that even though this viral video classic has earned over ten million views over the past few years, it is still one of the more vulgar clips on YouTube. It takes a fairly unique sense of humor to find these videos at all entertaining, but for one reason or another, a college aged man standing in the woods muttering on about arcades, sex, drugs and free food from Chick-fil-A is downright hilarious to some people. I put this video (the first of a series) in the top three not for its quality or wide-range appeal but for the speed at which it traveled. At one time a few years ago, no matter what college you were at in America, it seemed as though you couldn't quote this video at a social gathering without the vast majority of people letting out some sort of deviant chuckle.
