Three Driving Test Resources Online

Prepare for Your Driving Test Without Leaving Home

Donald Pennington
Driving in the USA is a big issue. So much rides on your successful completion of driving lessons that few people would not describe successfully passing the course as crucial. We Americans also have a love of all things online. So it's no surprise there are some good online resources available, for free, to help a wide variety of students to "bone up" on the knowledge needed. The following resources are aimed at the following three groups: New drivers, drivers who have some sort of an issue with their license, and CDL operators.

Three driving test resources online: For new drivers
DMV Answers is not affiliated with any government agency, yet they have hundreds of articles and self-tests from states all around the Union. The use of the site is free, thanks to the magic of advertising. If you're a newbie behind the wheel, there's no shame in learning all you can about the rules of the road, and safety.

Three driving test resources online: For other drivers
If your license has been compromised for anything; DUI suspension, or other acts of stupidity or carelessness, then you're likely to be in need of recovering said driver's license according to your state's rules. DMV.org is a great pool of information and knowledge. This site is also privately owned, not affiliated with any government agency, and advertising supported. It's likely you've already been chided by everyone in your life, so let me just point you in the direction of your second chance.

Three driving test resources online: For CDL drivers
America both owes a lot to, and demands a lot from professional truck drivers. For these reasons, CDL driving tests are challenging. Well, now you can study up and self-assess your driving knowledge at Testpreview.com. Operated by a private business, and supported by advertising, this online resource covers all of the crucial points including: HazMat, doubles and triples, and of course driver courtesy. Truck driving can be a great line of work if you're a good driver, so learn all you can. Be ready for your CDL driving tests.

Thanks. I've always thought that the Kansas driver's test was a little too easy. We can take the written test at home (and totally cheat!).

Nice of you to cite these resources, Donald. I remember once spotting a woman who was on the road in front of me getting out of her car to go to the bank. Walking hunched over with her four-footed walker, she squinted through her coke bottle glasses on the way up the ramp to the tellers. Talk about thankful she was in FRONT of me!

Great resource, Donald. Don't know when my next test is, but from the questions they asked my daughter when she had to get her license renewed, I'd better study! I didn't recognize one of the signs!

We used a site like this when my daughter was younger and it really helped her. They didn't offer driver's ed in her charter school. Nice resource!

See, the young-lings have it all. There wasn't any online resources when I flunked 4 times.. Great article!
