Imagine if you could make all of your scrapbook pages three dimensional without ever buying the little foam pop dots...Make beautiful chalked embellishments without ever paying the ridiculous prices for the little daubers and applicators...You can and so much more!
Save Scrapbook Money Tip # 1 ~ Pop Dots
Stop wasting three or four dollars every time you need a package of these, you can make hundreds of them for almost no money by using scraps and double sided tape! Every time you need a pop dot, it is really simple to just fold a small scrap into a square and wrap it with double sided tape, then use just as you would a foam square pop dot! This will save you literally hundreds of dollars a year if you are an avid scrap booker!
Save Scrapbook Money Tip # 2 ~ Chalk Applicators
Don't spend four dollars for just three chalk daubers or applicators! Go to the dollar store and buy a box of three hundred q-tips for a buck or buy makeup applicators while you are there, they work great too!
Save Scrapbook Money Tip # 3 ~ Scraps
If you are a seasoned scrap booker, you will already know this one, but a lot of beginners don't realize it. You can save so much money throughout the year if you just save your scraps! Use them to make cards, paper piecing, photo mats and so much more! Even if you just save them for the children to "scrapbook" with and they don't touch your 'good" paper, you will save so much money.
Scrapbooking is a lifetime hobby loved by many, but there is no reason to go broke doing it! Just think about the early scrappers who didn't have an A.C. Moore or a Michaels on every corner, try to think about the items they had or the techniques that would have used to create the beautiful hobby we now call scrapbooking!
