King Tut, Henry the VIII and King Arthur

One of the world's and history's most talked about Kings is King Tut. This is due largely to the excellent condition that his tomb was found in. The tomb was discovered by Harry Burton in 1922. King Tut became the Pharaoh of Egypt at a very young age of 10-12 years old. He died before his 20th birthday in 1324 B.C. It is strongly believed that he was murdered by blunt force trauma to the skull. The murderer had to have been a man of great power, himself to be able to pull this off, as King Tut was guarded very closely. Born in 1341 B.C, this King lived a short life but was worshiped as a god. Scientist are still studying King Tut's death, tomb, and preservation.

King Henry the VIII is another very remembered King but not for his death but rather the deaths by beheading of two of his six wives. This was in the 1500's when having sons was an absolute must. To not have a child or have only daughters was considered a thing of shame and even more so if you were a man of great power such as King Henry the VIII. It is said that he truly loved two of his wives, Catherine Parr and Jane Seymore. His supposed love for these women did not stop him from having his cruel ways. This English king meant to have a son at any cost. Queen Anne miscarried a deformed baby and was tried and convicted for witchcraft and failure to produce an heir. Queen Katherine was beheaded for treason. This king is famous for his cruelty. Henry took the throne after the death of his older brother King Arthur. Not only did King Henry take the throne from his brother but also his widow, Katherine of Aragon, who became his first of six wives. Henry's third wife, Jane Seymore did provide the King an heir but died from birthing complications only 12 days later. He then married a German Princess by the name of Anne of Cleves and for political reasons that marriage was annulled. His last wife, Katherine Parr outlived the King by some stroke of luck and his reign of divorce, annulments and be-headings were finally ended.

The last famous king is King Arthur, who has been immortalized in numerous movies. He was a most humble British man and because of this he did not call himself a king nor did he take his place at the head of the table. Instead he had a round table constructed so all felt equal. His home was the romantic Camelot. He was married to the lovely Guinevere who was rumored to have not only a wandering eye but hands as well! He was known as a kind and understanding as well as fair and intelligent king. While King Arthur is legendary is he real ? Was he a real King or not? Many say he was a real king but his real name was not Author.
