Three Fantastic Party Games for Adults at Christmas

Kimberly Cummings
Oh we of little faith, I love Christmas and I love having friends and family over for holiday dinners and fun, so here are a few of my favorite ideas for adults.

A. Plan a themed party, yes this can be for basically any type of dinner or party function, but during Christmas make it special with a winter appeal. Christmas dress up, a not so typical Santa perhaps, Mischievous Elves, a young Mrs. Claus might me interesting and even a decked out G.Q. Jack Frost. Make the theme where everyone has to bring something to the party to exchange such as gag gifts. Then when the party starts have each one put the gifts under the tree unlabeled of course. Later in the night gather around and each person will be asked to pick a gift. After they have opened it they have the choice of keeping it or passing it to another person. Then another person open one and they have the same choice, by the end of the night everyone will end up with either something they wanted or something they got stuck with. It can be played various ways and everyone will think laugh at the gifts.

B. Another game is a food eating contest, but of course the food has to be a Christmas time delectable such as who can eat a plate of cookies and drink a gallon of milk the fastest. NOTE: This is a dangerous game don't get them to laughing or they may need a bucket.

C. Playing charades is a definite when your having an adult party however during Christmas time make the theme all about kids. Make the charades of favorite Christmas characters or favorite Christmas movies.

D. I know building snowmen is a typical children type of activity but if you plan the party right and tell everyone to bring things for a Christmas winter wonderland and you have enough snow. Adult men are great at building a whole slew of Christmas figures. Example with enough people you could build Frosty the snowman, a snow Santa and maybe even a couple of elves. Not to mention the items that everyone will bring like an old straw hat and pitchfork look pretty funny used on Frosty.

E. If you don't have bashful friends go caroling, your neighbors will get a kick out of hearing your wild friends not remember the words to Christmas songs and stubble but everyone will have fun singing old Christmas songs for the entire neighborhood.

Just remember one thing Christmas all over the world is about being with friends and family and enjoying the spirit of the season. I love Christmas and my hopes is that everyone reading this has a safe and happy holiday season.
