Picasa
Picasa.com is Google's entry into the world of free photo editing. Consistent with everything they do, Picasa is a first class offering for anyone interested in easy-to-use photo editing software. Picasa is free to download, and provides online albums with enough free storage for 4,000 wallpaper-size photos. One drawback for Picasa is that the program, that is downloaded to your computer, requires substantial memory. If your are still dreaming of that day when you'll be able to update your computer to one with more memory, it might be best to pass on this option.

Features include:
Red-Eye Removal
Cropping
Auto Color
Auto Contrast
Light Adjustment
Photo Straightening
Special Effects
Photo Retouching
Annotating and Geotagging Photos
Photo Collage
Pictures and Video Clips into Movies
and more...

Picasa shines the most with its online storage and sharing tools. The syncing and sharing buttons on the album level allow you organize folders within your online Picasa Web album without ever leaving the desktop application.
