Three Great Applications for the IPhone or IPod Touch

J. Darling
According to PPC Geeks, there are nearly 160,000 applications in Apple's App Store, making Apple the leader in smart phone application sellers. Whether looking for something fun or something to help with productivity, any iPhone or iPod Touch owner is bound to find a handful of apps that they will use and enjoy on a regular basis. Here are three of my favorites.

Pet First Aid for Your Dog, Cat, Puppy, or Kitten, $3.99 (Seller: Jive Media LLC)
As the owner of 3 cats and one dog, this is an application that will come in very handy in the event that I have a pet-related emergency. There are over a dozen sections on the main screen to help users navigate to the information they need. In the "Emergency Situations" section there is information about the symptoms of various conditions (bleeding, drowning, shock, and choking), as well as first aid procedures. Each of those sections has a "Prevention" tab with tips on how to keep your pet safe and avoid emergencies. This app has a plethora of information about pet health, including (but not limited to) bee stings, wounds, creating disaster preparedness kits, how to do CPR on a pet, and lists of items that are poisonous to pets. From the "About" tab you can enter vital information to store about your pet.

Todo, $4.99 (Seller: Appigo, Inc.)
Todo is a productivity application that is great for people who want to stay organized. Prior to having my iPod Touch, I relied on little slips of paper or a bulky planner to keep up with appointments and make lists. Now I can quickly create and edit lists of things I need to do in a convenient, user-friendly manner. The background is simple and easy to read.

Budget Care, $1.99 (Seller: Suponix)
This financial application is a must-have for anyone wanting to stay on top of their money, and at under $2.00, this app is a steal. Users can enter in income and expenditures through the month and then view statistics on their spending for the day, week, or month. Budget Care also allows you to see your expenses in a pie chart, to give you a visual on where your money is going. You can also set a recurring budget.
