With all of the news surrounding the dangers of traditional shampoos and baby washes, it can be hard to determine which shampoos really are and aren't good for your baby. No parent wants to knowingly expose their child to harmful chemicals, toxins and hormonal pollutants. The labels on products can be confusing, especially since many labels aren't very regulated and terms like "natural" and "organic," don't always mean what they imply.
I wanted safe and natural baby shampoos for my children, and after many trials and errors, here are the three I like the most.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Shampoo
My absolute favorite baby shampoo is Earth Mama Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash. Not only does Earth Mama Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash smell amazing, but it's one of the very few baby shampoos on the market that has been rated with a 0 for toxin content by the Cosmetic Database! Earth Mama Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash smells like orange and vanilla (and there are scent free versions as well) and will leave your baby squeaky clean and happy without the concern of all those nasty chemicals and toxins.
California Baby Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash
Coming in at a close second, California Baby Calendula Shampoo and Body wash is a great smelling baby shampoo. Containing calendula, California Baby Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash contains calendula, also known as the pot marigold, which helps to provide soothing relief to baby's skin. California Baby Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash is ranked on the cosmetic database as a 1.
Ecostore USA Baby Body Wash
One of the very first natural baby shampoos I ever tried was Ecostore USA Baby Body Wash. Ecostore USA Baby Body Wash is gentle and mild, with a light scent. My son, who has extremely sensitive skin, didn't break out of have any signs of irritation while using Ecostore USA Baby Body Wash. This baby shampoo suds up fairly well, making it great for bath time fun too! Ecostore USA Baby Body Wash is ranked on the cosmetic database as a 1.
