Sometimes You Just Need a Good Meal

Fun restaurants when traveling can help to take off that tired feeling from being behind the wheel all day long. Here are 3 fun restaurants in Seattle, Washington to enjoy a break from the road and have some great food. My family always finds time to eat at both Ivar's Acres of Clams and The Crab Pot Restaurant when visiting the Seattle area. Good food, fun times and great prices.

Rainforest Café - Isn't just a place for great food but shopping fun is just a step away from your table. With menu items such as Buffalo Wings, Rainforest Pita Quesadillas, Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwiches and Hamburgers this is a great restaurant for the entire family. Also don't forget to shop at the onsite Rainforest Gift Shop and pick up one of those wild animals for the little ones in your life. Located at 161 Southcenter Mall, Seattle, Washington; or visit www.rainforestcafe.com

The Crab Pot Restaurant & Bar is a great place for that local Seattle seafood. This is a fun place to get down and dirty while eating some of the Pacific Coast crab and seafood faire. Enjoy the great food at The Crab Pot and enjoy the ambience of Seattle's Historic Waterfront. The Crab Pot ha a specialty called "The Seafeast" which is unique and serves up a variety of sea foods such as Mussels, Shrimp, Salmon, Halibut, Oysters, Crab along with potatoes and corn on the cob. Located at Seattle's Historic Pier 57 directly on the waterfront. To view the entire menu visit www.pier57seattle.com/crab_pot_seattle.html

Ivar's Acres of Clams is also located along the Seattle waterfront and is home of some of the best seafood in all of Seattle. Enjoy clams by the acres, halibut, fresh salmon; steak and many dishes but most of all enjoy the clam chowder at Ivar's one of the best bowls of soup in all of Seattle, Washington. Also located on Pier 57 at the Seattle Waterfront Ivar's Acres of Clams is a wonderful stopping point on your trip or while visiting in the city of Seattle, Washington. Visit www.ivars.com for more information.

Reservations are not necessary for any of these three restaurants so a fun day in the city without locking in a specific time to eat is sometimes easiest when traveling and vacationing. We always find it a short wait if any wait at all in each of the restaurants and the service is great to go along with large, well prepared, great tasting meals.

While visiting my sister in Seattle we ate dinner up in the space needle, it was so amazing to watch the sun set and see all the city. Great job on this list.
