Dog Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup uncooked oatmeal
¾ cup cornmeal
3 cup whole wheat flour
¾ cup powdered milk
½ cup margarine
1 tsp bouillon granules
1 ½ cup meat broth
1 egg, beaten
Preheat your oven to 325 Fahrenheit.
Preheat oven to 325F. Heat up the meat broth until hot, and then dissolve the bouillon. Pour broth into blender along with garlic and blend on high. Once done, pour broth into a large bowl, add margarine and oatmeal. Stir well then let sit for five minutes to cool down. Add powdered milk, cornmeal, and egg. Stir a half cup of flour into mixture well, then keep adding another half cup until all the remaining flour is gone. Knead by hand, add more flour if needed. Roll on floured surface to about ½" inch thick, cut into desirable shapes. Place on greaded cookie sheets and bake for 50 minutes, make sure to keep an eye on the cookies to ensure it is not burning. Take out and allow to cool until hard and dry.
Vegetarian Dog Biscuits
2 ½ cups flour
3/4 cup dry milk powder
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
2 vegetable bouillon cubes
3/4 cup boiling water
½ cup carrots, finely chopped
1 egg
Preheat oven to 300 Fahrenheit.
In a cooking pot, boil about a cup of water. Once done boiling, measure the water and pour 3/4 hot water into a large mixing bowl. Dissolve two vegetable bouillon cubes in the hot water. Add vegetable oil, egg, and finely chopped carrot. Mix well. Stir in flour, dry milk, and brown sugar (sugar is optional). With your hands, mix the dough into a ball, and roll on floured surface to about 1/4" inch. Cut into desirable shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for thirty minutes. Take out and let cook until biscuits cool and harden.
Chicken Liver Cookies
2 cups Flour
3 tbs. Vegetable oil
1 cup wheat germ (cornmeal can be used instead if needed)
1 egg, lightly beaten
½ cup chicken broth
2 tsp. parsley
1 cup cooked chicken liver, chopped
Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit.
In a small bowl, combine flour and wheat germ (or oatmeal). In a bigger bowl, beat egg with oil, and then add broth and parsley. Mix well. Add the dry ingredients to bigger bowl a little at a time, stirring well. Fold in chicken livers, and mix well. Shape into a ball, and then roll onto floured surface and knead for two minutes. Roll out to ½" thick, and cut into desirable shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for fifteen minutes, or until firm. Let cool and store in refrigerator.
