Framed Floral Decor
Supplies:
- Frame
- Wall basket
- Silk or dried flowers
- Floral foam
- 1/2 yard of solid fabric (choose a color that matches your decor)
- Tape measure
- Thick piece of cardboard
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Scissors
- Picture hangers
- Thin cardboard
Directions:
- Measure the top, sides, and bottom of your picture frame. Cut a piece of heavy and thin cardboard using these exact measurements.
- Add one inch to each of the frame measurements. Cut a piece of fabric using these measurements.
- Lay the fabric on your work area. Place the piece of cardboard centered on the fabric.
- Glue the fabric on the cardboard. I start by gluing the top and bottom first, then I firmly hold and glue the side edges to the back of the cardboard. This will give the fabric a tight, wrinkle-free look.
- Glue the thin piece of cardboard to the back of thick cardboard. This will give the back of the frame a finished, professional look.
- Place the frame on the fabric side of the covered cardboard. Carefully glue the frame to the fabric piece.
- Put a picture hanger at each end of the back of the frame.
- Hang it on the wall.
Floral Basket
- Glue a piece of floral foam inside the wall basket.
- Put a floral piece at the top, center of the basket, and on each side. This will be the size and frame of your arrangement.
- Fill in your florals within the frame so that it makes a full centerpiece.
- Evenly glue accent colors throughout the wall basket.
- Attach the floral basket to the center of the framed fabric.
I love the look and versatility of this home decor frame piece. You can change the center flower arrangement to match the seasons or holidays.
