Decorating with stained glass in the bathroom is perfect for shabby chic bathrooms, vintage bathrooms, and well, any bathroom no matter what style! Using stained glass can be a little overwhelming when decorating, so here are a few idea to get you started.

Here are 3 ways to decorate with stained glass in the bathroom:

Stained Glass Bathroom Décor #1: Stained Glass Cabinet Doors

If you have solid cabinet doors, which most bathroom do, then you can easily transform them into works of art with stained glass. The great thing about this project is that the stained glass will still hide all the stuff you have in the cabinets.

Take your cabinet doors to a local wood worker, cabinet maker, or handy man an have them cut out a middle panel in the door. They will need to miter out a space in the back so you can slide your stained glass into place. Let them know you want to set a piece of glass sin the doors and they should know what to do!

This looks great! Try adding some lights in the cabinet so the stained glass can glow from behind, just like it would in a window.

Stained Glass Bathroom Décor #2: Accessories

Ok, so you want to add stained glass, but you may move or simply do not want to invest in a custom piece. Why not stained glass accessories. Specifically, a stained glass lamp you can use this in the bathroom now and move it to other rooms in the future.

You can get as fancy and spend as much or little as you want to buy a stained glass lamp. Look online and in local discount home décor stores for deals to save even more money.

You can even add a stained glass candle votive if you do not want to have to deal with cords.

Stained Glass Bathroom Décor #3: Towels

Ok, so this is a little unexpected, at least I hope it is. We all know and expect traditional stained glass, but why not use fabrics that have the look of stained glass. You can buy towels that are printed in a stained glass pattern and use them to add a punch of color and warmth to you bathroom!

If you can't find stained glass inspired towels then paint your own. Use fabric paint and some paint brushes! Paint the colors first, then once they dry you want to paint on the lead with steel gray paint.
