The classic line about great heroes is that women want them and men want to be them. While there are certainly plenty of heroes that may make women swoon there are some that should be avoided like the plague when it comes to getting romantically entangled. Here's a look at some of the action heroes that nobody should ever date.
John McClane - "Die Hard"
Seriously, John McClane, played by Bruce Willis, has to be one of the most unlucky men in the world. He's been involved in a violent takeover of an office building, a violent takeover of an airport and the violent takeover of America's digital security all by virtue of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That might even be something that could be overlooked if he didn't keep dragging those he loves along with him where it's a miracle they've never been killed. His wife and daughter have both been taken hostage and his wife also had the bonus experience of being on a plane ready to crash because it couldn't land at the terrorist controlled airport.
Martin Riggs - "Lethal Weapon"
McClane may have put people in danger but at least they came out alive; the same can't be said for Mel Gibson as Sgt. Martin Riggs. Any woman who gets close to him might as well just buy a cemetery plot right off the bat and save herself the hassle later.
Just before the first film his wife was killed in a traffic accident (later discovered to be murder). In the second film his new girlfriend is drowned and in the third film his new girlfriend is shot. To be fair the third one did survive but still, she should have taken the hint.
Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr - "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
Harrison Ford as "Indiana" Jones may well be the ultimate man's man. He also manages the perfect blend of machismo and rough edges while still being basically a good guy to appeal to any woman. However getting close to Indy is a one way ticket to not only life threatening situations but also recurring nightmares of creepy creatures. Snakes, bugs and rats have all gotten up close and personal with Indy's various lady friends. And that's not even taking into account things like eating monkey brains or being hit on by the man's elderly (though admittedly suave) father, Henry Sr.
