Three Movies for a Matthew McConaughey Fix

Sharyl Stockstill
Matthew McConaughey fans can rejoice. He has three new movies due out in early 2011. The new movies are "Killer Joe," "Bernie" and "The Lincoln Lawyer." However, if you need a Matthew McConaughey fix until the new releases, consider these three classics to tide you over with plenty of Matthew McConaughey eye-candy.

Matthew McConaughey in "Sahara"

For those who missed "Sahara" thinking it was just another bang-bang shoot -em up action adventure, you might want to look again. "Sahara" cannot be categorized as just an action flick. Based on a novel by Clive Cussler, it has enough comedy to keep you in stitches while the romantic tension between Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz will have you coming back for more. "Sahara" has something for everyone and if you somehow missed it check it out. Matthew McConaughey not only takes the lead in "Sahara," he is also the executive producer.

Matthew McConaughey in "Failure to Launch"

In "Failure to Launch," Matthew McConaughey plays a single guy who is not quite ready to leave the nest. The cast is amazing with Terry Bradshaw and Kathy Bates playing Matthew's parents and Justin Bartha of "National Treasure" fame as one of his best friends. The parents are very anxious to reclaim their house and boot out their son, but don't want to hurt his feelings to do it. Thus they hire a specialist to help launch their son into his own home. The specialist is played by Sarah Jessica Parker and just when she has her routine down to a science, Matthew McConaughey manages to derail her plans completely.

Matthew McConaughey in "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson really light up the screen in "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." This is just too much fun to watch. This is a great movie to enjoy with your teenage daughter and just enjoy some one-on-one time. Just imagine the premise, a guy bets he can get any girl he wants to fall in love with him in 10 days, and a girl is writing an article about how to get rid of a guy in ten days. This movie is pure fun.

Matthew McConaughey, originally from Texas, manages to bring a good looks and down-to-earth attitude that shines throughout his roles. With each new movie, his professionalism manages to surpass his past achievements. Matthew is definitely an actor to watch any time you need your fix before "The Lincoln Lawyer" debuts.
