You can adopt a cat from the Delaware County SPCA. They are located at: 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063. Their phone number is: (610) 566-1370. They also have a website: http://delcospca.org. They have two levels of pricing for cats. For six months and under, they charge $125 dollars. For a cat older than six months of age, they charge $80 dollars. Their hours are: Monday Closed, Tuesday 12 PM to 7 PM, Wednesday 12 PM to 7 PM, Thursday 12 PM to 7 PM, Friday 12 PM to 7 PM, Saturday 12 PM to 7 PM and Sunday 12 PM to 4 PM. The Delaware County SPCA is a great place to find your new cat. They are the place where you can truly rescue a little kitten or older cat and help out the organization at the same time.
Another great place to adopt a friend at the website called Petfinder.org. On that site you can search by zip code and see all of the animals up for adoption in your local area. It lists shelter animals that need a home as well as animals that are in foster care. It's a great site to see pictures, personality information and to see the stories about the animals before you go and meet them. It allows you to pre-screen them ahead of time. I've found it helps me to find the perfect cat!
The Petsmart store also has adoptions at their store located at: 641 Baltimore Pike Springfield, PA 19064-38. Their phone number is: 610-328-1510. I love Petsmart because they really give back to the animal community and host in store adoption days in their store. You can also preview the pets online, or attend one of their in-store adoption days. Complete adoption information can be found here on their website: http://adoptions.petsmart.com/
I hope you find yourself a new best friend to adopt in Springfield, PA 19064. Adopting a cat is a wonderful way to rescue a cat and make a new friend for life.
