S.B.
Does your child have a summer birthday? Here in the Springfield, PA area we have many wonderful places to have a summer birthday party! I am going to review my three favorite places for a summer birthday party!

The Philadelphia zoo is the perfect place for a summer birthday party. There is no better way to spend a summer day than walking around the zoo discovering animals. The zoo offers many options on their website here: http://www2.philadelphiazoo.org/go/Hold-Your-Event-Here/Birthday-Parties.htm You can opt to have a party at the zoo, or they even have an option to bring some zoo animals to your birthday party at your home. For an at the zoo party, a ten person party starts around $329 dollars if you are a zoo member. If you are not a member, it is $359 dollars. It includes a private tent, admission to the zoo for up to twenty people, party bags, and parking for five cars at the zoo. There are many additional upgrades to choose from. The best thing about a zoo party is the kids get a chance to learn, to run around and all of the entertainment is provided by the animals!

Another fun place to have a summer birthday party is Ricky's Candy, Cones and Chaos located at: Broomall, PA Lawrence Park Shopping Center. Their phone number is: 610-356-2250. Their party room can hold up to fifty guests, making it the perfect spot for a large children's party. Pricing starts at $199 for 12 children for the Super Saver Party. It includes ice cream, cake, paper products and soda. It includes a craft and one game. They also have two additional tier party packages starting at $299 and $499. The more expensive packages include things like face painting, more games and crafts for the kids. When I think of summer, I think of ice cream and there is no better place for Ice Cream than Ricky's. It is a super fun place! Their website is here: http://www.rickysofpa.com/parties.asp

The third fun place to have a summer party is Ridley Creek State Park. It is located at: 351 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073. You can rent a picnic pavilion for a small fee or use an unreserved one for free. They have a playground area, restrooms and grills. You can visit the website for more information: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateParks/parks/ridleycreek.aspx#picnicking It's a fun place to have a summer birthday party. You can take the kid's of a nature adventure through one of the five hiking trails at park. The kids will enjoy checking out nature!

I'm looking forward to summer and can't wait to plan a birthday party for my own daughter who has a summer birthday! Hope your party is wonderful too!
