You will learn exactly how basic life support measures help restore breathing and natural heart rhythm. You will learn about finger placement, the differences between CPR on men, women, and children, and how to combine circumstantial clues with your best judgment. In short, you will learn what to do in the case of an emergency. You will also be able to get a great deal of practice, so that panic won't overwhelm you if you do find yourself in such a situation. The goal for students in this class is to come out of it equipped with the knowledge to take the proper steps when Emergency Medical Services are delayed.
