Three Popular Seafood Restaurants in New Orleans, Louisiana

Looking for Seafood While You're in New Orleans, Louisiana? Search No More!

New Orleans is about food...and music...but mostly food. Seafood lovers who've come to New Orleans aren't going to leave disappointed, or hungry. The search for quality seafood around New Orleans can sometimes be a bit deceiving. While a web page can easily be kept neat, clean, and spiffy, it's handy to know which seafood restaurants are worth visiting. So, instead of just relying upon Google results, I called my buddy Kenny the concierge at Hotel Monteleone for the low-down on who has really good seafood around the Great City of New Orleans. He did make sure to include his hotel's own Hot Room Grill within the hotel of course, but he also shared the best leads he knew of for a really great seafood dinner around town.

Three popular seafood restaurants in New Orleans, Louisiana number one:
Bayona Restaurant
430 Rue Dauphine
New Orleans, Louisiana 70112
Reservations can be made at (504) 525-4455

Bayona Restaurant's claim to fame (besides award-winning food and a fantastic reputation) is their three dining rooms (each with their own distinctive style of artwork) patio, and wine room. The entire restaurant is smoke, and cellphone free. The management assures me the experience is unforgettable. Banning cellphones is enough for me. Their hours are: Wednesday through Saturday, lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday, dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. They're closed Sundays. A visit to their website will clear up a lot of other questions, but if you still need to know details, just give them a call as early as 10:00 a.m. The dress code is casual elegant, or business casual. Jackets and ties are not required.

Three popular seafood restaurants in New Orleans, Louisiana number two:
The Pelican Club Restaurant
312 Exchange Place in the French Quarter
New Orleans, Louisiana 70130
Reservations can be made at: (504) 523-1504

In the heart of the world-famous French Quarter visitors to New Orleans will find The Pelican Club Restaurant. The building this restaurant now occupies was once a "neglected architectural gem," and now houses three beautiful dining rooms, as well as a large bar built from the remnants of a 19th century French Quarter townhouse. Reviews of The Pelican Club Restaurant by independent publications bring visions of the perfect romantic dinner to mind. Their hours are listed as Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. To 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays are 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The dress code is business casual, but diners in blue jeans, will be just as welcome.

Three popular seafood restaurants in New Orleans, Louisiana number three:
GW Fins New Orleans
808 Bienville St
New Orleans, Louisiana 70112
Reservations are highly recommended at: (504) 581-FINS (3467)

The only "chain" seafood restaurant to make my list, GW Fins New Orleans is known for seafood dishes not available anywhere else in the city of New Orleans. This seafood restaurant makes themselves available to small and large parties of hungry diners, and they even offer a private dining room that boasts a 42" flat-screen TV, and wireless capabilities, for business conferences. But all of that's not what brings customers back. It's the seafood. Dress code is dressy casual, with collared shirts for men. No flip flops, please.
