I'm sure you you know that dieting is not some magic trick that will effortlessly turn you into a good-looking prince or a stunning princess. You must include hard work as well.

It is quite normal to come across other people who throw away their dream to lose weight or at least live a healthier life. You may just be one of these persons.

The good news is that by learning why diets fail you can actually better target the solutions for your own dieting problems! When you understand the causes of diet failures you will be able to make preventive measures so you do not end up in the same pit of hopelessness.

Here are three reasons why almost all diets fail:

1. You Don't Believe In It

Everyone who starts a new diet plan experiences that stage of unavoidable doubt. What if this diet doesn't work out? What if you gain more weight instead of losing it? What if it is not for you? Rather than asking all these "what if" questions, you should ask yourself why you don't believe in it. In most cases, you will find out that doubt originates from your own feeling of pessimism.

When you are absolutely sure that there is no chance that you will keep up with your diet plan, then it will not happen. You must keep in mind that all things you do in your life are dependent on your points of view. For this reason, it is crucial to be positive and believe that it will all work out. Yes, it can be hard at first. In may take weeks or even months before you begin seeing some results, but at least you know there would be some.

2. You've Already Tried It

So, you failed. Get over it and start things from the start! You may have failed in the past while following your old diet plan. But that shouldn't prevent you from turning that failure into a success that you will be proud of. The positive thing about recovering from fiasco is that you will prove something to yourself and your family and friends.

3. You Tried the Wrong Diet Plan

Maybe you picked the plan or your nutritionist recommended it, but no matter who made the wrong decision, it is still your diet plan. To correct that, choose something that has been proven and tested. For example, visit a nutritionist recommended by a family member or a friend.
