The Inn at Riverbend is close to great hiking (the Cascades are amazing), rafting, and, of course, Virginia Tech. Bent Creek Lodge (Asheville, North Carolina): Bent Creek Lodge has the best of both worlds. This romantic North Carolina bed and breakfast is situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, yet Bent Creek Lodge is only ten minutes from Downtown Asheville.
