Three Signs You Need a Romantic Getaway

V. L. Hamlin
Couples everywhere get married with these great intentions of going on spectacular trips ever year. A romantic getaway to Niagara Falls or a quick flight to Vegas for the weekend, have been in the plans since they said "I do". But it never seems to happen.

Suddenly you wake up and you've been married for five years, have two kids and are struggling to live pay check to pay check. There is no time for romance and definitely no money for a romantic getaway!

Below are ten signs that say you really need a romantic getaway, see Saving for a Second Honeymoon to learn how to pay for it!

# 1 ~ Spousal Separation

Now, don't go crazy, I'm not saying you and your spouse should separate!

Do you sit at the computer while he watches television? Do you read while he plays video games?

If you and your husband/wife are always doing separate things, you need to make time and money for a romantic getaway! You get married to spend your life together, not so you can go your separate ways!

# 2 ~ Child Talk

When you and your husband/wife go out to dinner, what do you talk about? Do you spend your peaceful time together talking about the kids and what they do each day and what is coming up that you need to do for them? If this is happening, you might need a romantic getaway sooner than you think! Yes, your children are important to you both and you need to discuss their lives, but when you have a few romantic minutes away, make use of them. Concentrate on each other, don't let anyone else into the picture!

# 3 ~ Money Problems

This is one of the biggest causes of divorce in the United States! Money problems not only affect your wallet, but they can cause huge trouble in your marriage! Set aside a small fund (see Saving for a Second Honeymoon) for a romantic getaway and do it!

That's it! Don't let any of these problems rule your life! Figure out a way to make it happen and force it to happen! You and your spouse need time together, away from your children, away from your money problems, away from everyday life. Couples need to get lost in themselves every once in awhile, it keeps the magic alive! So, take the time and as I said before make it happen, you need a romantic getaway!
