The first book I would like to see turned into a movie, would be, The Shack, written by William P. Young. This was a very inspirational book. It has great detail and would be a great movie for all! It has a religious plot to it. Having a man except God through a very difficult time in his life, along with his wife and kids. The turmoil inside is being held there and he doesn't know quite how to release the pain. Through this book he goes on a clarifying journey to find himself and peace. It was a great book. If it was a movie more might see it and enjoy it also. I would, it may sound odd, pick Clint Eastwood as the director for the movie. I find him to be a very good director/actor. I believe he could make this movie to follow the book well. The actors/actresses who would play they role to each main character in the book, would be as fallows, Dad/Mack-Bruce Willis, Mom/Nan- Sandra Bullock, Daughter/Missy- Bailee Madison( from new movie, Brothers) . The form of God-Alfre Woodward, Jesus form-JIm Caviezel, Nature form-Lucy Liu. That would be my cast choices for the movie. All very talented actresses and actors! Perfect, in my opinion, for this book being made to a movie!
The second book I would I like to be seen turned into a movie would have to be the book, Obsessed written by Ted Dekker. It is more of a suspenseful book. Full of lies, surprises, and deception. Many would enjoying seeing this movie. It is also religious based. Its a book you cant put down and a movie that would keep you at the edge of your seat! I would pick, book writer Frank Pretti to direct. He has had movies made from his books and also collaborates on books with Ted Dekker from time to time. He words things well and is great in movies. Now the main character,Stephen Friedman/Main character- Robert Downey Jr., Roth Braun/Villain- Crispin Glover( from new movie, Alice and the Wonderland). This book would make a great movie and these actors would portray the characters well.
My last movie choice would be Between Sisters written by Kirstin Hannah. I would call this movie a "chick flick." It would be great for sisters or just women to see and enjoy, mostly. Now it is a story of two girls growing up in a broken home and they grow apart in years after. Small towns, love/romance, and heartbreak. Has it all and was written well. I would choose these two actresses for the main characters. Meghann Dontess-Demi Moore , and Claire Cavenaugh- Katherine Heigl. These two would be great to play the role of the two sisters. Making the book come to life. I think women everywhere would enjoy this book as a movie. I know I would!
So these are three different books that I think would make great movies. I believe many others would enjoy them to. Whether they have read them or even if you have not.
