Three Ways to Decorate the Kitchen with Retro Juice Glasses

Ann Siper
Retro juice glasses are some of my favorite items when trying to decorate a vintage kitchen. You can use a collection of matching or mismatched juice glasses and turn them into fun kitchen accessories in minutes.

Here are 3 of my favorite ways to use retro juice glasses to decorate a shabby chic Kitchen:

Retro Kitchen Décor #1: Vintage Chandelier

So, if you have a chandelier type light in your kitchen or want to switch out to one, here is a fun project. Try removing the existing glass globes and the light bulbs. You can leave the light looked up; you just won't need the electricity.

Set a tea candle inside each of the retro juice glasses. Now, place one juice glass in each of the areas where a bulb would normally be screwed in. Light the candles and enjoy the warm glow!

Tip: Look for those battery operated tea candles and you don't have to worry about fire.

Retro Kitchen Décor #2: Daisy Crazy

OK, so you have a ton of retro juice glasses, then you will want to try this idea on for size. You can line the counters, the back lip of the counters work great with the glasses. Another idea is to hand small floating shelves on the walls. You want to fill a whole wall with these.

Now, fill with water and add one daisy to each glass. You get the fun look of fresh retro daisies and get to use yoru retro juice glasses too! If you want to get this look on a small scale, then try filling in up the window sill with the juice glasses.

You can easily get about 20 glasses in a row, which looks awesome with a row of daisies.

Retro Kitchen Décor #3: Candy Pyramid

If you are having a dinner party or large house party, then try filling your retro juice glasses with fun colored candies. Jelly beans look great. You can stack these in the shape of pyramids on the dinner table.

Guest can pick up a small juice glass and walk around munching brightly colored candies in your fun retro kitchen! Kids will love this one too, plus you are not wasting paper plates and Styrofoam cups.

Another idea is to use them to fill with another dessert. You can layer angel food cake and strawberries with cream for a fun treat as well! Strawberries are perfect in a retro kitchen.
