You can turn a damaged or partial shabby chic quilt into a great bath mat in no time. You will need part of a quilt, some rubber shelf liner, and a sewing machine to make this one.

Cut out your quilt to the size you want your bathmat floor mat to be. Add on 2 inches to each side. You will loose this after sewing and turning it inside out.

Now, Cut out a piece of rubber shelf liner, you knew the soft kind that looks like a grid of rubber, to the same side.

Lay the quilt pattern side up and then top off with the rubber shelf liner face side own.

Sew around the edges with a one-inch seam allowance. You will want to leave one of the ends open to turn the bath floor mat inside out. Punch out the corners after turning the bath floor mat inside out.

Tuck the one ends in and sew this shut! This makes an awesome gift and looks great in your own home!

Shabby Chic Bathroom Décor #2: Show Curtain Rings

This one is a small touch, but it won't go unnoticed for sure! You can cut out strips of an old quilt that has seen better days. Try to use one in an accent color. Thes strips need to be about 1 inch wide and out 12 inches long . Slip them through the holes in the top of your shower curtain and tie on to the rod in your shower!

Tip: Try sewing up each side of the cut strips of quilt. This is great time to use a colorful thread as well as keep the strips of shabby chic quilt from unraveling when you open your shower curtain.

OK, quilts have long been used as wall art, so this on should not come as a surprise to you. You can even create your own art with old quilts that have seen better days.
