Melwood also offers plates, dishes, salt and pepper shakers as well as coffee cups. I also saw a set of 5 dishes, that were microwaveable and dishwasher safe with no chips for $4.

The Salvation Army Super Store is also the place to go to find low priced values. It is located at 21506 Colton Point Road Avenue near the Wal-Mart in Waldorf and the phone number is 301-769-4901. They have restrooms as well as dressing rooms. They offer furniture, cutlery, bedding and clothing for women, men as well as children. I spotted a bookshelf for $49.99 with six shelves. It was in good condition. I also saw a lacquered shelf for $70 and it was in very good condition. They accept donations and recognizes MasterCard and Visa.
Use It Again Inc. is located in Waldorf at 3250 Old Washington Road and the phone number is (301) 374-6690. The hours are 9-7:00 Monday through Friday and 9 to 6:00 Sat as well as Sunday 11 to 4. They offer books, house wares, furniture, clothing and collectibles. Prices range from $1.00 to $100. When entering the store you will see a board that states which color tags on merchandise indicated further price reductions. I found a hanging planter with a hammer metal finish for $2.00. They have a dressing rooms but no public restroom. Donations are accepted. This store accepts MasterCard and visa. These thrift stores are in close proximity to each other. They are all in Waldorf. So you can do a lot of bargain shopping. If you are in the Waldorf area, be sure to visit these three Thrift Stores. You will be glad you did.

The Mellwood Store in Waldorf near the Dollar King has been closed for a couple of years. Should update your sight.

Sorry, the author of the article is mistaken...the Salvation Army Super Store is on Colton Point Road, but nowhere near the Wal-Mart in Waldorf. It is in Avenue, MD, St. Mary's County.
