Throw an Anti-Halloween Party

If you're fed up with Halloween or just want to do something different and fun, throw an anti-Halloween party. Instead of staying inside on October 31 and hiding from all of the trick-0r-treaters roaming your streets, host an event yourself that celebrates the spirit of the night in a unique way. Here's how:

Step 1. Send invitations. Alert your friends and family to the fact you're throwing an anti-Hallowing party. You can send homemade invitations with a pumpkin or the word Halloween with a red circle and line crossed over the words. This act will get your guests in the mood and let them know exactly what type of bash you're giving.

Step 2. Buy healthy food. Since Halloween is all about candy and other types of foods that rot your teeth, make your party about health. Buy fruits, vegetables, lean meats and other good stuff. Be smart though, make sure whatever you put out is delicious and tasty to the eater. Also, don't forget the liquor (if you drink). Your guests won't reject any light beer or other delicious, low-calorie alcoholic beverages.

Step 3. Do no-costumes. Throw an anti-Halloween party that stipulates in the invitations or through word of mouth that no-costumes are allowed. Put a twist on all of the garishness of this holiday by asking your visitors to only wear jeans and a t-shirt. This act will not only go along with your theme, but it will also help your guests save money. Also, you'll get a chance to see all of the variations of one type of dress.

Step 4. Play fun games. Here's where you can get really creative. Offer your guests several anti-Halloween games to play for fun. You can give away prizes for the best story or joke teller that doesn't shows how ridiculous Halloween is. Getting your guests involved with the entertainment will help them savor the night. In addition, during lag time, play music. You can either get gat albums that speak about Halloween or just go with the type of music your friends love.

Step 5. Give out gift bags. Don't let any of your guests leave your party empty handed. Give them a bag of goodies too - but not one's based on the night. Fill your bags with anti-Halloween pins, pencils and other paraphernalia. You can make your own at CafePress.com.

Use these five steps to throw an anti-Halloween party. You can have fun on October 31 without doing the usual thing.
