Thunderstorm

M.S.Medina
Clouds swirling, gauze light,
Sweat sticking to skin,
Electrically charged atmosphere
Awaiting the pinnacle of the storm
Noise and movement prevail
All time resides in this moment.

The storm has passed.
All that remains is darkness
and the peaceful sound
of the crickets singing,
You and I to sleep
Locked in each others arms.

Another great poem. When your book gets published, can I have an autograph?

I sat on the patio this morning drinking coffee, and listened while a thunderstorm approached and passed. I love these natural displays.
