A few of the good things about this program are that it supports files over 2 GB and that you can share printers in your house or buisness. You also can share printers between Macs and PCs as well as Linux computers. You can "mount" a hard drive on another computer and have complete access to that hard drive and vice versa. This is another one of the great features of Thursby's Dave. This is probably one of the best networking programs out there and it isn't inexpensive. One license of Dave, which means you can run it on one computer is $119, and if you want to run it on more then one computer or acquire another license that means the price basically doubles.
Thursby's Dave also can share CD's or DVDs between computers instantly or other drives, basically just about anything. It basically makes the computers it is networking one computer. Totally sharing all of the files over an Ethernet router or just a single Ethernet cable if need be. Thursby's Dave is a great program, although as stated before, it is on the pricey side at $119 per license. Dave 7.1.2, is for OS X users.
Thursby's Dave is the only viable option for computers running OS 9 or lower that want to share files between a Mac and a PC. I have looked hard for another program that will do that, that was free and I could not find one. I did however obtain a trial copy of Thursby's Dave to use and that was suffienct enough for my needs at the time that I did not have to pay the hefty $119 price tag for Thursby's Dave
In conclusion, Thursby's Dave is a great program for file and printing sharing between Mac and PCs and especially on OS 9 since it is the only viable option. Dave 7.1.2 is the current version and Dave 7.1.2 is the version for OS X, there is another version for OS 9 that is older. Check out Dave if you need to share printers and files between a Mac and a PC.
