TI Arrested with Wife for Meth Possession

TI arrested news isn't anything new. This time, the TI arrested story includes meth, and that TI was arrested with his new wife. The 29-year-old Grammy-winning rapper has a record of drug offenses, and is still on probation for a weapons charge. But he had been in the headlines for better reasons lately, after getting married in early August and after starring in the current No. 1 movie in America. According to L.A. County sheriff's officials, Clifford "TI" Harris and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, were pulled over on West Hollywood at 10:30 p.m. Pacific time. While the police were questioning them, they claimed to detect the scent of marijuana.

The results had TI arrested for drug possession charges, along with Cottle. However, there had been no official word on what they were booked for having, other than "a controlled substance." In addition, there was no word on why the two were pulled over in the first place.

But, according to the Associated Press, TI was arrested for suspicion of methamphetamine possession. They still did not have anything on why police first pulled them over, but the two were reportedly released on $10,000 bail at 4 a.m..

This is hardly the first time police have arrested TI for drug possession. He also has a record of weapons possession, as he was released from prison in March after serving seven months. But recently, the rap star had reason to celebrate good fortune.

Ti and Tiny were married in early August, during a weekend filled with weddings. Just this weekend, TI had his biggest break in movies, as his new film Takers took a last-minute victory at the box office. He also has a new album to promote soon, with "King Uncaged" coming out in the fall.

But with TI arrested, even deeper problems could be coming his way. As part of his probation, he was ordered not to commit another crime or to illegally possess drugs. There is no word yet on whether this charge violates the order, or what it would mean if it did.

Since his release, TI has expressed regret for his past, and talked about his desire to live a better life. With this new TI arrest, however, he might still have a ways to go in reaching that goal, if the charges are indeed true.
