The ticking of clocks
Is a sound that mocks
This man with gray in his hair.
Is a sound that mocks
This man with gray in his hair.
Though muscles still remain
Their power now is drained
Can't lift logs over my head now.
Why is this so?
How soon must I go?
Where my loved ones cannot hear me?
Death is no friend
My story here he'll end
But my trust is in my Saviour.
Jesus come for me
Your kingdom let me see
Where I shall be with you forever.
The ticking of clocks
A sound that still mocks
Yet no fear here I'll rise again.

Post a CommentExcellent. That's all I can say, anything more would diminish the quality of this piece.
The clock ticks for all of us.
The clock ticks for all of us.
Very good! I've always liked the Biblical expression "The years draw nigh" Eccl. 12:1.
Very powerful. Emotional, and inspiring. Thank you.
I don't want to hear that ticking clock. I'm not ready to go yet!
Thought provoking...and so true! :))
Beautifully said. :-)
Well done indeed, It is a comfort to know that though our life in this world comes to an end, it will be renewed in the presence of Jesus Christ forever more.
