The first and easiest comparison, I made was that of price. The way I decided to compare their price was to compare cost per load size. I computed the cost of Tide With Febreze Freshness as being 27 cents a load and the cost of All Small & Mighty Free & Clear as being 12 cents a load. That is a 44% difference in the amount of money per load in favor of All Small & Mighty Free & Clear.
Cleaning ability is clearly the most important factor in choosing a detergent. If a detergent doesn't remove stains, there is no point of using it. Tide With Febreze Freshness does a great job of cleaning fabrics. You can use Tide by itself to prevent stains from setting and avoid purchasing extra stain guard. Tide also does a great job of removing ink stains. It also tends to prevent bleeding as well. Tide With Febreze Freshness also prevents fading, so the colors remain the same longer. This is really important because it keeps you from having to replace your outfits as much. All Small & Mighty Free & Clear does an okay job of cleaning. It removes stains fairly well. It doesn't remove the ink stains as well as Tide With Febreze Freshness. It also does not prevent colors from bleeding on each other. I really prefer Tide With Febreze Freshness for its cleaning ability.
Another important factor in deciding which detergent to use is fragrance. A simple smell can take you back to another point in your life. It is also important that your detergent work to take the unpleasant smells out of your clothing. I have to admit I was completely impressed with Tide With Febreze Freshness, it has a special chemical to help remove body odors, heavy cooking and grease smells. It also has special chemicals to provide the clothing with a Febreze scent. This makes the clothing smell great! While All Small & Mighty Free & Clear works to get the odors out of clothing, they market themselves as a detergent without perfume. This means that it doesn't cover up the smells like Tide With Febreze Freshness. It also means that the clothing doesn't have a great perfume scent. I really preferred Tide With Febreze Freshness for its great scent.
Its important to point out that both Tide With Febreze Freshness and All Small & Mighty Free & Clear are both paying attention to their impact on the planet. They both exclude NPEs, Nonylphenol ethoxylates, which have been showed to be toxic to waterlife.
I really prefer Tide With Febreze Freshness over All Small & Mighty Free & Clear. While All Small & Mighty Free & Clear is much cheaper than Tide With Febreze Freshness. Even though it is initally cheaper, if you have to rewash your laundry then you are doing extra laundry. This adds to the price because of the extra time and water that you have to use. I also prefer the smell much better as well. So this is a no-brainer for me.

Post a CommentInteresting. My daughter suddenly became allergic to most laundry detergents and I ended up buying Purex free and clear. It works, I just miss the fresh smell of artifically scented clean laundry...lol
