I'm surprised that you guys still can buy this. I haven't seen it in any stores for a year now. I wrote this article about 2 years ago... hmmm.. I do wish I could find the Tide Rose & Violet kind. That was my favorite. Sadly, it is no where to be found where I live.

I started using this because I love the smell of lilacs and I've always liked Tide. I thought it did a fabulous job and it is my top choice in laundry detergent now.

TRUE!! Tide is gross. When any cotton material becomes wet, they smell terrible. It's a fact!

Gets clothes clean, but damp towels smell like wet dog!

It is much cheaper and effective to add washing soda to your laundry, such as arm & hammer washing soda. You will find it next to the laundry detergent. Washing soda is also much more effective as a dry cleanser than baking soda.

I've been using this junk for the past 6 months or so. I rarely do my laundry now because the detergent smells so bad. It was nicish in the bottle, but smell dirty on my clothes. I can't wait til this stuff is done! It smells like wet dog, thus I smell like wet dog. Ew!

I have been using Pure Essentials for about a month and absolutely love it! I have used both the lemon verbena and white lilac scents and both did an excellent job leaving my clothes fresh and clean! The scents are amazing and you're right, my clothes seem like new after coming out of the wash. It's great!
