Tidy Cats New "Small Spaces" Scoopable Cat Litter

In the five years that I've had indoor cats, I have tried several types of litterbox fillers, many with unpleasant results. Currently I have three cats, and in my small house, the litterbox lives in a corner of one bedroom. I need a litter box filler that reduces odor, keeps dust to a minimum, and makes it easy to scoop away waste. After trying several brands, I can say without hesitation that Tidy Cats Scoop "Small Spaces" litter, new from Purina, is the best litter available today.

My first brand was Fresh Step, which I didn't like much because it was very dusty. So I began trying other types of scoopable clay litters. Until recently, my favorite brand was Tidy Cats Crystals Blend because it is only slightly dusty and clumps well. But the new "Small Spaces" litter from Tidy Cats is even better. It is hands-down the best cat litter out there.

What makes Tidy Cats' "Small Spaces" litter so great? First of all, it smells great. This litter has a faint citrus scent that really overpowers any litter odors. And yet, it's not too overwhelmingly scented. The litterbox is less than five feet from my computer, and I find the slight orange scent pleasant and barely noticeable. What I have noticed is that the litterbox odors are much less pronounced than before! This product really does control odors in small spaces.

Second, this litter truly is (as the Tidy Cats website claims) "virtually dust-free." This is my favorite aspect of this product and the reason I will keep buying it. So many other cat litters are so dusty that scooping the litterbox is a miserable experience-and no doubt using a dusty litterbox isn't good for your cat's lungs. Tidy Cats Scoop "Small Spaces" is the least dusty of any litter I've tried.

And finally, the Small Spaces litter does the best job of clumping around wet areas without turning rock-hard, as some other litters do. With other litters, I have sometimes experienced difficulty in getting clumps out of the litterbox because they cling to the sides or bottom of the box. Not so with Tidy Cats Scoop "Small Spaces"! This litter surrounds wet areas, making them easy to scoop out, but without turning the whole area rock-hard.
