Tie Tape Review

Does Tie Tape Work

As Seen On TV
Tie Tape is another As Seen On TV product which you may have seen advertised in the wee hours of the night but Tie Tape really does wonders in the morning.

At first I thought it was a great idea but the fact the tie tape was cut into the shape of little ties was a bit annoying. I just thought it was a bit too campy to be of serious help to my wardrobe. Well, I was wrong. Let me just quickly tell you about the benefits of a product like tie tape.

If you need to wear a tie to work or social events, these fashion accessories can quickly become a nuisance. I'm not even referring to choosing the right knot for the occasion, tying it correctly and figuring out if the length is correct. I'm speaking of the common problem I like to call "fly away tie". You know what I'm talking about. You're walking down the street and a gust of wind blows your tie behind your head leaving you a bit exposed and looking silly. This is not the worst thing in the world, it just makes you look a bit sloppy.

My issue is more functional. There's nothing worse than have a tie that's out of control. By this I mean, a tie that seems to wander about while you're doing things like washing your hands, leaning over a bowl of soup or doing the dishes. Look ties are expensive and having your favorite tie taking a swim in your soup can ruin it, not to mention do a number on your soup.

Further, tie tape is great when you want to connect the skinny flap of your tie to the wide flap. When you are walking around with your flaps hanging out you look unkempt. Especially when your little tie flap is facing the wrong direction.

Traditionally men used tie tacks, tie clasps and tie clips to address these issues but the clips are out of style and the tacks put holes in your ties and shirts. Tie tape doesn't cause any damage to your clothing and it won't ever go out of style because you can't even see tie tape.

How Tie Tape Works

Tie Tape is actually quite simple. You just peel a piece of tie tape of the package and paste it onto the back of your tie. You can then just stick it to your shirt. Or, if you want extra hold, you can take another piece of tie tape and stick it to the small tie flap and then secure it to the wider tie flap. The cool part is that tie tape holds firm no matter how you use it and it just plain works. No holes in your ties, and no silly tie clips that, well, look silly.

When you buy tie tape, you receive 4 packs of 18 tie tapes, with Shipping and Handling included for $28 . Each package will last for about 3 weeks so you are getting enough fresh tie tape for 12 weeks. Now I tend to use my tie tape more than once so it is possible that your order could last you longer.

So if you want to tame your ties you should definitely consider tie tape. It works!
