Tiffany Livingston Model Playboy Photo Centerfold for VIP Freaks Out on JetBlue Flight
Could Tiffany Livingston Be Suffering from Mental Health Issues?
Now, was she trying to make an escape like Steven Slater, the wack-o flight attendant who grabbed two beers, exited the plane, and quit his job? IT doesn't look like it. It appears as if she has some form of anxiety disorder.
According to the New York Post, "She said she's gone through this before, but never this bad, and didn't have . . . her medication," one source said. Livingston was detained and placed in federal custody, with charges pending, last night."
If the Playboy model Tiffany Livingston does suffer from some form of panic disorder, her actions may not have been preventable. You can say what you want, but I have some people in my life very close to me that have this sort of illness.
For some reason or another, when an attack strikes you, you tend to lose control. Your survival instincts kick in. She panicked, and tried to open the door to the plane to exit the plane. Although she may not have been in any sort or real danger, she truly believed she was in danger. Of course, this is considering she does suffer from this type of illness.
According to the National Institute on Mental Health, "People who have full-blown, repeated panic attacks can become very disabled by their condition and should seek treatment before they start to avoid places or situations where panic attacks have occurred. For example, if a panic attack happened in an elevator, someone with panic disorder may develop a fear of elevators that could affect the choice of a job or an apartment, and restrict where that person can seek medical attention or enjoy entertainment."
One person who suffers from panic disorder says ""For me, a panic attack is almost a violent experience. I feel disconnected from reality. I feel like I'm losing control in a very extreme way. My heart pounds really hard, I feel like I can't get my breath, and there's an overwhelming feeling that things are crashing in on me."
Do I think she should have consequences for her actions? Why, certainly. Although those with those types of illnesses cannot control their actions at times, there should still be some form of consequence. Otherwise, you can use it as a cop out. If she really "forgot" her medication - she should have to pay some kind of fine. After all, her actions delayed those on her flight.
If there's one question in my mind it's this - what is it about JetBlue that makes people want to open their doors? I mean, after the whole Steven Slater incident, what are the odds that someone else would try to make a run for it? The difference is, Slater knew how to operate the door. Tiffany Livingston didn't, and now this Playboy model may be in big trouble because of it.

Post a CommentI have suffered with panic attacks for 11yrs now and they are NOT fun!!! You completely feel out of control, feel like you're going to go crazy and are convinced something BAD is about to happen, with that said I don't travel without my medication. I feel bad for her I can't imagine being up in the air and panicking, I'm afraid to fly long distances for this very reason. I'm curious though, if she has had this happen before why did she not have her meds.? Hopefully she won't forget again. :)
