A Valentine's Day girl, Tiffany Dawn Thornton was born on February 14, 1986. She is a native of College Station, Texas.¹ She is the younger sister of John Scott Thornton.²

Tiffany Thornton: Early Career

Tiffany Thornton met her agent at the IMTA (international model & talent agency) competition where she went for acting and singing. Her very first acting job was for a national Cingular Wireless commercial.³

In 2004, Tiffany Thornton made her television debut in the pilot of the FOX sitcom, Quintuplets. From 2004 to 2007, she went on to guest star on a number of shows including 8 Simple Rules, American Dreams, The O.C., Desperate Housewives, That's So Raven, Jericho, Hannah Montana, and Wizards of Waverly Place.¹

Tiffany Thornton: Break-out Role

In 2009, Tiffany Thornton landed her break-out role as Tawni Hart on Sonny With a Chance. The audition process for her was pretty quick. She had auditioned on a Tuesday, got a call back on Thursday, did a table read on Friday and started Monday morning with filming the pilot.

Tiffany was brought in to audition at the last minute after producers had been unable to find the right person for the role. Writers had originally written the character of Tawni as 14, but later made her older.³

After landing her role on Sonny With a Chance, Tiffany Thornton went on to make her film debut as Jamie in the DCOM Hatching Pete.¹

Tiffany Thornton considers herself similar to her character Tawni Hart in that they are both very honest and not afraid to tell others how they feel. On the other hand, Tiffany observes that Tawni doesn't always know when or when not to say things. Tawni also wears too many colors for Tiffany's taste.³

Tiffany Thornton has a good relationship with her Sonny With a Chance co-stars. Brandon Michal and Doug Brochu are like brothers to her. She describes Allisyn Ashley Arm as "super intelligent."³

And while Demi Lovato may not be BFF with Selena Gomez anymore, she gets along great with Tiffany Thornton and described her as "the most amazing co-star."⁴ Thornton described Lovato at "beautiful and talented." She is also fond of Lovato's friends, the Jonas Brothers. She believes that they were raised to be respectful and that they love their fans.⁵

If she wasn't an actress, she would have liked to be a pediatrician.²
