L.R. Newberry
Relative newcomer Tiger Airways works hard to carry passengers to desirable locations while keeping travel affordable at with low cost flights. Since it began operations the airline has added routes in Asia and Australia, and continues to grow.

Tiger Airways focuses on service between major Asian cities and in Australia. Although the first Tiger Airways flight took place in September of 2004, Tiger Airways was launched in Singapore in 2003. Since then the airline has added many routes and aircraft to its fleet and achieved several milestones, such as becoming the first international low cost carrier to fly into China. In 2007 Tiger Airways Australia was launched to provide domestic air service in Australia. That same year Tiger Aviation was established as a holding company for both Tiger Airways Singapore and Tiger Airways Australia.

While Tiger Airways' bargain prices on flights are their biggest draw, there are plenty of perks that keep customers coming back for more. In order to keep costs low, the airline limits the free services, however meals and entertainment can be purchased during the flight should passengers wish to enjoy them. The Tiger Airways fleet consists of new Airbus 320 aircraft, one of the newest fleets found among low fare airlines, resulting in a more comfortable flight for passengers and fewer maintenance related delays.

Tiger Airways targets the Asian and Pacific geographical areas. Tiger Airways Singapore's primary hub is at Singapore Changi Airport and the airline flies to countries all over Asia, including India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and also to Australia. Tiger Airways Australia provides service withing Australia to destinations such as Adelaide, Alice Springs, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Mackay, Melbourne, Perth, Rockhampton and Sunshine Coast and continues to add service to new cities.
