Tiger Woods May Not Be Playing Golf for the Rest of the Year

Tiger Woods gets a moving violation for careless driving. The Florida Police stated in a press conference this afternoon that their investigation has been concluded and that there are no criminal charges, just a moving violation for Tiger Woods. Fox News carried the very short news coverage live, in which the Officer acting as a spokesperson refused to go any further and would not answer any questions from reporters.

No claims of domestic abuse was made by either party, the spokesperson said, and the police investigation for this case was not done any different because of Tiger Wood's celebrity status.

I got a chuckle when it was announced that the accident report will be available, because it is a public document, by noon tomorrow for $10. The accident scene photos will also be available for $105 at that time. This police department stands to make a few dollars on this incident. I know this is the going rate for most departments releasing either a document or a picture package to the media, it just hit me funny because it was the first time I have heard it on TV. It was almost as if she forgot to put, "on sale today" in front of the sentence.

This press report came hours after Tiger Woods made the announcement that he will not be playing in his golf tournament this weekend, due to the injuries he received in this accident. Fox News said that he may not play for the rest of the year, which is only a month.

The intrigue of the Tiger Woods accident has captured the curiosity of the nation. There were too many inconsistencies in this story to make it believable to most. It starts with Tiger Woods smashing his car into a fire hydrant and then into a neighbors tree at 2:30 am. He was outside of the vehicle, face bleeding, and lying on the ground when emergency personal got there.

TMZ reported that there was no blood in the car at all and that the airbags did not deploy when the car made impact. The two passenger windows were smashed out, "because his wife Elin acted like a hero and smashed the windows to get Tiger out of the vehicle".

The story finally unfolded and speculation is that Tiger and Elin had a heated argument due to the news in the Enquirer that Tiger was stepping out with another woman. The golf club that she used to smash out the car windows, might have also made contact with Tigers face while she was in a fit of anger. Mr. and Mrs. Woods are adamantly denying this, as is Tiger denying the affair with another woman.

Tiger has made himself a public figure and while doing so he has been able to sell the American public things, such as cars, with his just his image and a few words. Unfortunately for the Tiger and Elin not just the luxury of having all that money goes along with this fame, the public wants to know what really happened. This media investigation will more than likely go on for sometime.

    The plot thickens!

This has been all over the TV and press in Australia since it first happened. I guess there is interest because Tiger so recently came to play here in the Australian Masters. He was a big hit and the paid invitation to play produced many millions of dollars for the Victorian economy. The latest is that there is yet "another woman" in the picture. As we would say in Oz - Tiger has copped "the rounds of the kitchen" from Elin and is now hiding out because he is embarrassed that he is the subject of major speculation about his personal life. The media should now give it a rest so the parties concerned can work out their problems and move on.

You mean the agency is capitalizing off this? Amazing. I thought that there were limits on the amount they could charge like maybe 25 cents per copy or something like that!

I think it is now time to give it a rest, the media should leave it alone now, we even get the coverage every night here in montrea.
