Tiger Woods Car Accident a Big Accident or a Fender Bender?

Tiger Woods' Car Accident Wasn't as Serious as Previously Stated

Meg G.
Tiger Woods' car accident has been the main headline of the day. Early in the morning, Tiger Woods' car accident happened right in the driveway of his exclusive Florida home. At first, headlines indicated that Tiger Woods was "seriously injured" after a car accident. However, as reports came in it was revealed that Woods suffered facial lacerations and was treated and released from the hospital. The "major car accident" turned out to be a not-so-serious accident.

Part of the reason for the mix-up is the fact that Florida Troopers classify injuries as "serious" if they require more than minor medical treatment. Tiger Woods had facial lacerations that most likely needed stitches and that was the "serious" accident.

I know I wondered how serious the Tiger Woods car accident was when I heard that the golfer's Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't deploy and that he was traveling under 33 mph. His car was the only one involved in the accident.

The Florida Troopers have indicated that charges are pending as a result of the Tiger Woods accident, although they also state that alcohol was not a factor in the accident. One has to wonder what type of charges will be filed if alcohol was not involved.

One thing about the Tiger Woods car accident that I really don't understand are reports that indicate that his wife smashed a window with a golf club to "free" her husband from the SUV. Tiger Woods was reportedly unconscious for six minutes and it is not certain whether or not he had his seat belt on at the time of the accident. When police arrived at the scene, he was outside his vehicle.

Tiger Woods's life has been a little tumultuous in the past couple of weeks. Reports surfaced and a woman claimed that she was having an affair with the golf pro. However, the woman's credibility is questionable, as Woods isn't the first celebrity she has claimed to have had an affair with. Woods' lawyers deny that their client is having an affair with the woman, although they do acknowledge that the golf pro did meet her at a club.

The Tiger Woods car accident is another example of how the media make things look worse than they really are. At first, I thought that Tiger Woods was inches away from death, and in the hospital in serious condition. However, after the Tiger Woods car accident, the golf pro was treated and released from the hospital. His injuries were not life threatening.

The Revenge of the Stepford Wives

    By Phil Linehan

When Eliot Spitzer was forced on tv to own up to his disgrace
can anyone forget wife Silda's stricken face?
John Edwards, when caught out in his affair
about ailing wife Elizabeth seemed not to care.

We all know that Newt Gingrich's marital story
is not one that covers him in glory.
Has it not always seemed quite absurd
that from their long-suffering spouses never heard is a word?

Then, pining to be close to one he calls his soul mate,
Governor Mark Sanford moved the Appalachian mountains to the River Plate.
It never occurred to him wife Jenny would get up and go
forgetting, perhaps, that she is the one who has the dough.

When we hear about this and that humiliated wife
do we not all hope one day one of them will pull a knife?
But wait! They finally found their defender
and the result was a spectacular fender-bender.

Does Tiger really think his irresistible charms
are what make women throw themselves in

Hell Hath No Fury - Like A Viking Scorned

Was Tiger perhaps trying to take flight
when he jumped into his car in the middle of the night?
How else to explain his behaviour manic
as he stepped on the gas in a state of panic.

Did he think he was hitting the tee
when he bashed his car into a tree?
Was he trying to practice a putting shot
when he walloped an immovable water spigot?

We have to imagine he was hurrying to avoid being berated
by someone who was a little bit irritated
Had he perhaps done something he should not
and in his peccadillo had just been caught?
    .
If he had bothered to study some Scandinavian history
Elin's behaviour should have been no mystery
for Vikings tend to react quite strongly
when they think they have been treated wrongly.

We have many examples of what happens when their ire
can lead to consequences best described as dire.
So he should be careful when next temped to push her over the edge
or she might come after him wielding his v
