Tiger Woods to Be Cited for Reckless Driving

According to Florida police, Tiger Woods will be cited for reckless driving for his accident that happened last week near his Orlando, FL home. Police state that this will be a mere fine to pay and no criminal charges will be filed. This will close the investigation into the now infamous Tiger Wood's automobile crash.

Cindy Williams, a major with the Florida Highway Patrol said Woods will face of fine of $164.00 and four points against his driver's license if convicted. She stated, "The investigation has determined that Mr. Woods is at fault in the crash." Alcohol was not stated as a factor in the accident.

The car accident happened around 2:25 am last Friday, the day after Thanksgiving when Woods crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant and tree. Even though the air bags did not go off, it is reported that Woods was not able to get out of the vehicle. His wife, Elin, asked the neighbors who had come outside after hearing a loud noise to call 911.

It was also reported that Elin knocked out the back window of the SUV to get Woods out of the vehicle. An attorney who spoke for the neighbors said that they came outside after the crash and never saw Wood's wife with a golf club knocking out the window. When they arrived on the scene, Woods was already out of the vehicle and lying wrapped in a blanket on the ground being cared for by his wife.

The timing of the accident comes just two days after a report in The National Examiner where Woods is accused of allegedly having an affair with Rachel Uchitel, a hostess of a nightclub in New York.

This leads to speculation as to whether the famous couple had a fight and Woods left the house in a rage.

Woods has since cancelled his appearance at the Chevron World Challenge, which he hosts in southern California stating that he is too sore to play golf. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Tiger Woods Foundation. Woods has won the tournament four times.

Now that Tiger Woods has been cited for reckless driving, do you think all the rumors will die down regarding his alleged affair? Certainly not! Do you think the punishment fit's the crime?

you raise interesting questions --but famous people seem to have rather special, less severe ruls in this country. So be it ...I do not envy them, but strive to make my own peace. Have a blessed week.Shalom

Very weird story indeed, as Tiger always seemed so grounded and in control.

I do wonder if he left the house in such a rage, what damage could he have done had he got as far as the open road? The fine does seem like peanuts to him, no real reterrent.

I agree with Susan. People are so obsessed with celebrity gossip.

I wondered about damage but the fine seems small :)
