Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Go Separate Ways

Tiger Woods, 33, headed off to the Bahamas on his yacht while Elin Nordegren, 29, made a dramatic exit from their Windermere/Orlando home, traveling to the airport with her children and what is being called a "heavy police escort" on the internet and TV show "Extra." The motorcade was presumably to protect Nordegren and the Woods children from the paparazzi since Nordegren and Woods have been the topic of endless speculation and media frenzy since mid November when the first of Tiger Woods' 14 mistresses came forward.

The Swedish beauty is reportedly going home to Sweden, although it is unclear if this is a permanent move or a temporary vacation. However, more internet sources are leaning towards this being a permanent move for Nordegren. As reported in Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Marriage Over - Divorce Rumors Confirmed, sources close to Nordegren have stated she is 100% sure she wants a divorce.

People.com reported on Dec. 16 that Elin is "escaping the media glare, taking the kids and traveling to her homeland for the holidays." The article went on to report that "the initial plan was for Nordegren and the family to travel to Sweden in January. But those plans changed. Woods is not expected to come along."

Tiger Woods who is ranked among the most successful golfers of all time, and a group of his buddies, including some golfers, apparently left North Palm Beach on Monday in Tiger's155-ft. luxury yacht appropriately named "Privacy." There is no word on whether or not Tiger's golfer buddies brought their families on the cruise, which is expected to last through Christmas, or if this is just a bachelor cruise.

With the couple now separated for the holidays and headed in opposite directions, and with Elin rumored to be demanding a divorce with $300 million and custody of their children according to golf.fanhouse.com, it appears the Woods marriage is now officially over, although there is still some talk of this being a separation. However, a photographer working for X17 says, "With Tiger off on his yacht, Elin's had enough. She's ready to take the kids and go back to Sweden."
