Just two weeks away from making his return to professional golf at the Masters, Tiger Woods gave his first post-affair scandal interview on Sunday afternoon (March 21).

The world's #1 golfer spoke with ESPN's Tom Rinaldi in Windermere, Florida, talking about the struggles he's faced and the changes which he's made in his life over the past four months.

First talking about being a different man, Tiger said, "A lot has transpired in my life. A lot of ugly things have happened. Things that.....I've done some pretty bad things in my life. And uh, all came to a head. But now, after treatment, going for inpatient treatment for 45 days and more outpatient treatment, I'm getting back to my old roots."

When asked why he issued a public apology if the situation was of a personal nature, Woods replied, "Well, I owe a lot of people an apology. I hurt a lot of people. Not just my wife. My friends, my colleagues, the public, kids who looked up to me. There were a lot of people that thought I was a different person and my actions were not according to that. That's why I had to apologize. I was so sorry for what I had done."

Connected with numerous women, Tiger was then asked why he got married in the first place, to which he answered, "Why? Because I loved her. I loved Elin with everything I have. And that's something that makes me feel even worse, that I did this to someone I loved that much."

As for reconciling his wrongdoings with Miss Nordegren, the 34-year-old simply stated, "We work at it."
