Tiger Woods Issues Statement on Website Concerning Car Accident

Tiger Woods issued a statement on his own website just two days after a car accident. Tiger talks about the issue, the car accident and what he terms malicious rumors on www.tigerwoods.com.

Tiger Woods issued the statement following a media circus the past two days after his alleged affair with a mistress and a reported fight between he and his wife Elin. Tiger says in the statement that he wants to keep his personal life private and who could blame him.

TMZ.com and the National Enquirer have been reporting varying stories throughout this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The National Enquirer started a strange week by publishing a story that Tiger Woods had a mistress named Rachel Uchitel. Woods did not address the alleged affair or a mistress with his statement on Tigerwoods.com. He only mentioned the car accident, his bumps and bruises and his wish for privacy.

The Tiger Woods statement on TigerWoods.com left a lot to the imagination as to what exactly happened two nights ago. TMZ.com has sources claiming that it was his wife Elin who did damage to Tiger's face. Some of the TMZ stories even quote a source as saying that Tiger admitted to a friend needing a "Kobe treatment" for his wife.
The TigerWoods.com statement also criticized some writers for creating malicious rumors about the story.

Most of the comments, and there were 78 as of 2pm CST, were positive and defending Tiger Woods. It is, afterall, his website. Chances are negative comments probably would be yanked very quickly below the TigerWoods.com statement.

Police have yet to get an official statement from Tiger Woods following the incident according to TMZ. Some sources claim that it was his neighbor who made the 911 call after the car accident. The information continues to come in with what is turning out to be one slowly developing national story.
