This newest edition of the Tiger Woods genre puts a new spin on its predecessors. Now Tiger Woods can play throughout the history of golf. You play through 5 different time periods. Take on legendary golfers during their era. Some of these legends are: Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, and Arnold Palmer. Are you good enough to compete against them?

This game has some new features that make the game a lot more enjoyable than the last Tiger Woods games. One of these features is the new shape stick. The shape stick allows for a more realistic and fluid control of your swings. It is very similar to that of Hot Shots Golf. Another new feature is the game breaker meter. If you get good shots and low posting scores, you get to boost your power and accuracy!

There are some other aspects of this game that have changed from the previous editions. One is that you must now unlock new clothing and clubs, rather than purchase them. You also get points from good performance to distribute to your character to improve your stats. Lastly, the ability to call your shots and wager has been improved.

The game itself has excellent graphics. The courses are beautifully designed. Some of these courses are: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Reflection Bay, St. Andrews, and Doral Golf Resort. The game features 21 licensed golfers and 11 authentic PGA TOUR courses. The background music adds a nice touch and coincides perfectly with the game.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 is newly available for XBOX 360. It is also available on XBOX, Playstation 2, PSP, and PC. The best graphics can be seen on the XBOX 360 version. The ESRB rating is E for everyone.
