Tiger Woods Planning Public Apology at PGA

He Will Finally Break His Silence

Jessica Quigg
It appears that Tiger Woods is finally planning to break his silence regarding the events that shocked the golf community and has brought his personal life into the critical eye of what seems like the entire civilized world. Although it is not unusual to hear of sexual scandals involving famous athletes, I think I can speak for everyone when I say this was one that no one predicted which made the scandal a literal feeding frenzy for the press.

While I am the first to admit, I enjoy keeping up on celebrity news and gossip, I am ready to put this one behind us. I have gotten a bit exhausted with the daily updates and potential spottings, the wild accusations to follow the already detrimental ones that had come to light. I think that by finally addressing the public himself, it will be a much needed first step for Tiger to begin taking just a hint of that spotlight off his personal life. I do admire his perseverance to maintain some semblance of privacy, however, I think it was a miscalculation on his part not to acknowledge the need to discuss this previously.

The official PGA website has confirmed that Tiger will be speaking publicly at their headquarters on Friday at 11:00am EST. It has been said that he is planning to apologize for his behavior as well as address his plans for the future.

The following message was just posted on Tiger Woods' official website: "While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that's what he's going to discuss."

Aha. Thanks for the answer. They reviewed my other one more quickly than usual but it wasa big fat "editor denied." Fixed it though. Lots of denials lately so I'm sticking to reading for a while.

That's right! Leave Tiger alone! Great Jessica!

I wrote it on my own, I didn't claim the assignment. I had one that took a few days to be reviewed too. They are pretty quick about it usually though. If you check out the times that are quoted, it is always faster than that!

Did you publish this DO or claim the assignment? Just asking because I claimed the assignment and it hasn't been reviewed yet--had the same problem with the State of the Union one when it took my CE 1 1/2 days to approve. Anyway, I enjoyed the article and I agree with Tiger about it being he and his wife's business but it's great he will talk about it. Maybe it will provide some closure and his family can move on.

First of all, there's a lot of us out here who don't care about anything he has to say. Also, he thinks this is a private matter, but in reality, Tiger has made millions selling his wholesome image to the public. And he duped us all. He's not sorry. He's pathetic.
