Tiger Woods Press Conference Friday - Apologies and Return to Golf News

Breaking News on Tiger Woods: Is to speak at a press conference at the PGA Tour Headquarters on Friday morning at 11. It will be carried live by the golf channel. Tiger will most likely inform us that he will return to the Masters. According to TMZ, the biggest audience ever to tune in to an event will tune in to see his come back to golf.

What he will be discussing is explained in this message that was just posted on the Tiger Woods Official Website: "While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that's what he's going to discuss."

Friday mornings is usually the day that the PGA announces who is playing in the following weekends tournament.

TMZ reports that Tiger's agent, Mark Steinberg, has said that Tiger is planning to apologize to his fans for his behavior and he will be discussing his return to golf. The audience inside the clubhouse for this news conference will be a small select group of friends and colleagues.

No questions will be taken by Tiger at this news conference. TMZ also said they have gotten a report that Tiger will be reading from a written prepared statement.

The news conference will coincidently be taking place at the same time the Accenture Match Play Championship is being played. Many speculated that the Accenture Tournament would be the first tournament that Tiger would play in since taking a break from golf. This is not going to happen. Accenture dropped Tiger as a sponsor due to the scandals and whether or not there are hard feelings on Tiger's part is unknown. Is it just a coincidence that the Accenture will be pre - empted for Tigers news conference?

Tiger Woods' manager, Mark Steinberg, has just released a statement to RadarOnline.com:

"Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11 a.m. (EST) Friday at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he intends to apologize for his behavior."

The address of the news conference is: Champions Room D and E , Sawgrass Marriott 1000 PGA Tour Boulevard, Ponte Vedra, FL. This is according to RadarOnline.
