Tiger Woods Press Conference Scheduled for Friday to Announce Golf Future

Tiger Woods Will Talk to Reporters on Friday for First Time in Months

A Tiger Woods press conference has been scheduled for Friday in Florida. At this press conference, Tiger Woods will talk about his plans as well as his past behavior. It was the agent for Tiger Woods that announced this press conference and revealed that Woods would finally be placing himself in front of the cameras for the first time in nearly three months. His absence from golf appears like it is about to come to an end, and this press conference may shed some light on what tournaments that Woods plans on participating in during the next few months. Let's be clear though, this isn't a typical press conference, as there will be no questions allowed.

While this is going to be billed as a Tiger Woods press conference that everyone in sports will have their eyes on, it's pretty clear that this is merely a public appearance by Tiger Woods, where he gets to say anything he wants and people have to just sit and listen. Woods and his agent are controlling the venue, dictating how many news representatives will be there, and of course getting free television time for their efforts. It's not really the press conference that many news agencies were hoping for, and there will only be one camera allows in the venue, which will provide satellite coverage of Woods giving his statements.

It's about time that Tiger Woods got back into the public eye, and it appears that there could also be ulterior motives behind the timing of this press conference. The Tiger Woods appearance will take place at 11 a.m. EST on Friday, during which time the Accenture Match Play Championship will be taking place in Arizona. Coincidence? Well this is a sponsor that dropped Tiger Woods when it turned out that Woods was deeply involved in a sex scandal. Now Woods will again detract from the PGA Tour in an attempt to say his piece to the media. One can't help but wonder if he couldn't have done this when a tournament wasn't going on. Of course not though, because he wants the free press he will get no matter what it might do to anyone else. Seems familiar.

Good story. I'm going to be using it as a source for mine, but just be careful on your grammar: "and there will only be one camera allows in the venue."

I have prayed for weeks for Tiger Woods to break his silence so that he and Elin can move on with their life. I just hope that whatever Tiger and Elin decide to do in the future will work the best for them and their two precious children.
