Tiger Woods: The Professional Athlete I'd Like to Meet and Interview

Shirley Norling
If I had one opportunity to meet and interview anyone at all in the world of sports, it would be Tiger Woods. The chance of being able to do this is probably one in a "billion", as Larry King, Barbara Walters and the likes would ultimately like that interview, and to my knowledge he has granted very few, if any one on one interviews. That being said, I think it would be great to have such an opportunity.

Tiger Wood's is fascinating to me. He's someone who was so high up there and practically untouchable. In the blink of eye, as we all know, he fell off his perch and hit the bottom so hard that many felt he would never get up again. He proved many skeptics wrong, though. Although he isn't even close to the Tiger Woods we knew about 5 years ago, he is trying to make a comeback and for that I give him a lot of credit. I don't condone any of his actions that brought him down, but I do admire him for not giving up in the midst of a lot of adversity.

This dream interview of mine with Tiger Woods would take place at his Florida Mansion, ideally. Tiger would give me a tour of where he lives, and a peek at the lifestyle he leads when he's not golfing and is back home with his kids. I may as well dream big if I'm going to conduct this ultimate interview I say, so why not go all out and go right to this golf pro's home.

After touring his property we would sit down by one of his pools with a glass of iced tea for the interview. Some of the questions I would ask Tiger Woods are:"what is one of the biggest challenges you're facing in life right now", "do you feel you're on the right road to conquering that challenge", and "what steps are you taking to accomplish that feat". If I could get answers to those 3 big questions during our interview, I would say, it was a job well done.

I would graciously thank Tiger Woods for allowing me to conduct this interview and quietly leave the property, probably with a big smile on my face.

He would probably be the last person on my list of people to interview. Three years ago, maybe, but not now.

Maybe you could bump into him and chat him up on the golf course! Entirely by accident, of course.
