Tiger Woods - Scandal-mania Ramping Up - Not Dying Down

When Will it End? Not Any Time Soon If the Tabloids Have Anything to Do with It!

Susan Jane
Unfortunately for Tiger Woods, when a scandal as big as the one he is embroiled in hits the tabloids, it will stay there until the newshounds cannot squeeze another drop of "juice" from the situation. And the tabloids aren't the only ones jumping on the bandwagon either!

Cashing in on scandal media-hype

Taiwan's Apple Daily website has created a computer-generated re-enactment of Tiger Woods' car crash last week.

A US airline is running an animated advertisement of a "tiger" crashing a car into a fire hydrant on its website. Spirit Airlines has an "eye of the tiger" sale offering $9 fares. Based in Florida, this airline flies to cities in the US, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

No doubt there will be more "cashing in" as the media-hype escalates.

Stop the runaway train - somebody wants to get off!

There is no way Tiger Woods or his "people" can stop the runaway train now. It is anyone's guess just when this media frenzy will run its course.

Another nightclub hostess, Kalika Moquin, 27, has come out of the woodwork alleging a seven-month affair with Woods. Celebrity website TMZ has somehow obtained security footage showing Tiger Woods in a Las Vegas nightclub at 1.30am on October 4, 2009 with a woman who was not his wife.

Just how damaging will this be for Tiger both professionally and personally is now anyone's guess. The more this scandal ramps up, the more difficult it will be for Tiger to emerge without his dignity being in tatters and his marriage in the divorce courts. So far his sponsors are "standing by him". This seems logical because the more hype that is generated, the more they are mentioned in the media. Free advertising is something no sponsor would turn their back on.

Latest reports indicate that if Elin Woods demands a divorce, Tiger could be $300 million out of pocket because of the prenuptial agreement between the couple. This would be the largest divorce settlement in celebrity history if that outcome transpires. However, the couple are purported to be in intensive marriage counseling.

Unsubstantiated rumors also abound about a $1million "silencing fee" to be paid to one of the women involved in the scandal and a $55million deal for Elin Woods to "save the marriage".

Saving a disintegrating marriage

It is sad that so many people are cashing in on what should be a personal issue between the married couple concerned. But if all the allegations are true, Tiger Woods has only himself to blame for his present dilemma. A single mistake is bad enough when it comes to breaking the fidelity of marriage. Many wives can forgive one indiscretion and the couple can move on to build a stronger, more honest relationship. Multiple occurrences of infidelity are tantamount to a person being an arrogant serial cheater with absolutely no regard for the sanctity of marriage. This would and should be much harder to forgive.

All this begs the question - "If a person wants to live a 'party existence' with multiple intimate liaisons as the most important thing in their life - why not remain single?"

I just took this poll at omgnews.info/didtigercheat it asks you if you think Tiger Woods cheated on his wife. I think the results are going to be on the news!

I am single (never married) and I know all about "cheating boyfriends" and "married men on the make". I agree with Pat and Abby - I wouldn't and couldn't tolerate a cheater. And Jan's account is spot on. The fact that I have written two articles about this means I am fascinated. Lots of others are too.

I think it is more than the tabloids that are keeping this one going. Just check Twitter or the search engines. People are trying to find out more.

I agree with Pat. Once a cheat, always a cheat.

I don't think I could stay married to him if I were her, but those little kids sure seem to love him. It could work it they both try hard enough. I just wish the media would leave him alone. Most of them are probably doing the same thing he did.

Smart lady to require a pre-nup agreement. You have to figure there will be some hanky panky going on. Story should die down. After all, what's new?

I hope this story dies down soon. I would hate that their lives are ruined by this. Good article!
