Tiger Woods: It was Only a Matter of Time

Jacob Horn
Why does it seem like so many people are jumping on the 'I strongly dislike Tiger Woods' wagon? If you really think about it, Tiger Woods is not the most likeable person. I enjoyed playing golf before Tiger Woods came along and when he came along I did not enjoy golf anymore than I did before he came along. I don't care what you do in your own private life but after hearing GD this and GD that every other time he hit a golf ball I kind of got sick of him. He owes almost everything he has to his fans. His talent would mean nothing if people did not come to watch him play and pay to watch him play but I do not feel like he has ever attempted to endear himself to any of the fans. He comes off as a pompous jerk in almost any situation. I believe that what you are seeing now is a backlash against a man who has had this coming for sometime but we always got past his arrogance ways as long as he was bringing home the trophies. I truly believe that if Tiger had attempted to foster some sort of relationship with the media over his career he would not be facing the scrutiny he now faces. Some people may argue that he has no responsibility to the media but I believe that any professional athlete who makes million of dollars from adoring fans should develop a positive relationship with the media. I feel like you owe that to your fans. It was only a matter of time before this backlash came out. As long as he was winning everything in sight we could look the other way but now many people will come to realize the type of person Tiger really is. I have nothing against Tiger for his alleged affairs and I believe that most people out there don't care about the affairs. People are just fed up with trying to like this very unlikeable guy.
